Here in Corpus Christi, we make products that are critical to our sustainable future – our refrigerants help keep things cool and improve performance in everything from cars to homes to businesses. They are also vital to maintaining the quality, safety, and nutrition of perishable goods from farm to table.

We are committed to empowering the next generation, within Chemours and throughout the community, with knowledge, experience and development opportunities.

Our site houses the company’s $300 million Opteon™ refrigerants facility, which is the largest in the world for producing hydrofluoro olefin (HFO)-based refrigerants.

Among other applications, our refrigerants help provide superior temperature stability during food shipping – which reduces food waste by improving shelf life, and ensures food safety throughout the cold chain.

We have achieved and maintained the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA’s) Voluntary Protection Program Star certification since 1984.

Star certification is OSHA’s highest level of recognition for companies that demonstrate exemplary achievement in the prevention and control of occupational safety and health incidents.

Our site has also received several recognitions from the Texas Chemical Council, including the “Sustained Excellence in Caring for Texas” and the “Best in Texas” safety award.
